La importància de ser el primer
En Gruber ho deia fa temps en no sé quin lloc, però ho recordo perfectament. Si ara agaféssim un mòbil Android, un iPhone, un Windows Phone i una BlackBerry (per exemple) i els ensenyéssim a una persona del 2007 que no ha vist ni el primer iPhone, ni els primers Androids, ni les noves BlackBerry ni els primers Windows Phone, quin triaria? En Gruber deia que, molt probablement, triarien un Windows Phone. Per què? Usabilitat, naturalitat, ecosistema, marca, integració, senzillesa.
Llegeixo a reddit un usuari d’un Lumia 1020 que intenta explicar què té de bo a Windows Phone i per què la seva proposta (parlem de sistema operatiu pur, de moment; res d’aplicacions i ecosistema) és millor. Ho resumeix així:
“Imagine that WP was the first smartphone, and came with these tiles that you could resize, and move around and fully customize your home screen, with information being pushed through to the tiles live. Then imagine it was iPhone that came out a few years later and offered what they do, with the same rows of tile icons page after page. Would you feel that was an improvement?”
Potser canviaria la percepció.
